Our goal is to serve YOU on YOUR wedding day. We offer two wedding planning packages. One is similar to the industry standard “Day-Of” Package. The other is full service wedding planning helping you from “Yes!” to “I do!” We primarily serve Champaign, IL, but also travel to surrounding towns as well. Day-Of Wedding Coordination

Wait, what’s a "day-of coordinator?"

Great question! We know it’s confusing. Despite the name, it’s more than just showing up on your wedding day. Your “day-of coordinator” is a resource from the moment you book with 618 EVENTS. Then, we become more involved 2 months before your event. During that time, we:

  • Review your vendor contracts

  • Build your detailed day-of schedule

  • Confirm final details with everyone involved

  • Create a floor plan for your space

From the Start

  • Great question! Most people aren’t sure at first. We help organize all the moving pieces of your wedding. This includes:

    1) Helping you create a realistic plan and day-of schedule
    2) Recommending trusted professionals such as caterers, photographers, DJs, florists
    3) Communicating with those professionals on your behalf
    4) Managing setup, logistics, and problem-solving
    5) Making sure everything runs smoothly so you can enjoy your wedding

  • “Venue” refers to the site your wedding is taking place in. Your venue coordinator works for the venue and will ensure everything that pertains to the venue (room set up, unlocking doors, venue staff is scheduled properly) is running smoothly.

    Your wedding coordinator (that’s us!) will help with overall planning items such as your overall day-of schedule, recommending and booking ALL your vendors, making sure each vendor involved has the details they need to successfully execute your wedding, solve unexpected issues, help your overall vision come to life, plus more.

  • Many venues include a coordinator, but they focus on the venue itself and not your entire event. Think scheduling venue staff, unlocking doors, turning on lights, mopping up spilled drinks, etc.

    Yes! We absolutely provide recommended wedding vendors for the Champaign-Urbana area. This is included in our package but you can also have access to our list for FREE by filling out this vendor form.

  • Yes! We’ll be physically present on your wedding day. Our package includes up to 12 hours of service and our most popular timeframe is 9am to 9pm.

    If clean up support is important to you, we’re happy to shift those hours to stay until the end. BONUS: If your wedding is hosted in Champaign-Urbana we can flex 2 of the 12 hours for clean up. Ask us more by reaching out!

  • Yes! We stay within an hour radius of Champaign, IL, otherwise additional travel fees apply.

    Our fees include the above outlined services. Our fees do NOT include additional purchases such as decor or vendor payments. Anything outside of our planning services will be an additional cost to you.

  • Absolutely! We do ask about budget in our initial consultation because it’s important to be realistic. In Central Illinois, you can expect to spend a minimum of $30,000 for a wedding with 150 guests.

    However we will work with a wide range of budgets to bring your wedding day dreams to life!

  • Short answer: No. We do not own or work exclusively with any one venue. Additionally, while we don’t provide the actual food or candles/flowers/chairs/etc, we know professionals in each of those areas that do.

    618 EVENTS helps you to plan your wedding and coordinate all those details, but we don’t provide those products. Questions? Let’s chat!

  • Absolutely! If you’ve started planning and realized you’re in over your head and need help, we will step in and finish for you or hold your hand along the way. We have our recommended vendors, but we will work with any professional vendor!

    The What: Wedding Planning Services

    We offer both wedding day coordination (aka day-of wedding planners) and full service planning. For our Day Of Package, we start helping you from the time you sign our contract. However we really jump in at two months prior to your wedding. For full service planning, we meet consistently with you to cross off every detail needed to fully plan and execute your wedding.     The When: How soon to hire a wedding planner?

    Ideally you hire us right when you get engaged, however, for day-of coordination, we can jump in up to two months prior.

    If you’re considering us for Full Service Planning, we recommend booking with us 12-16 months prior.

    You get the most bang for your buck the earlier you hire us!
